| Welcome to my Californian site My name is Suzan de Leeuw and I'm married to Jan De Leeuw. We have two beautiful sons named Justin and Dylan. We live in Innisfail, in central Alberta, roughly 1.5 hours north of Calgary and 2 hours south of Edmonton. We live on a big farm and have all kinds of animals around us. We have two dogs, a cat, horses, donkeys, llamas, and cows. We are very busy people but we love it. We started roughly three years with some mixed californians X New zealand whites. My husband really like the californians because of their marking and their personalities we deciced to find some purebred animals, this task was not easy at all. We looked and looked for stock in Alberta, no luck there, then we searched in canada and nobody is breeding purebred stock, the best we could find where the crosses and we had those ourself. Then this summer I got in contact with Stan and Kathy from BC about some french lops they where selling, and I found out they had purebred californian stock as well so my response was: 'what do you have available for sale'. They had for me a Jr. pair the male was out of some very good winners, and the doe came out of some good stock as well. They where nice enough to give us another Jr. male, so our stock is still very small but we will start showing this spring and will start breeding some good purebred californian stock. What we found out at the shows was that there where NO californian breeders at all and we would like to change this to bring in some quality purebred californian stock. This trio we have right now are very muscular and very good body and type,we look forward to see what the judges have to say about them |
